The IMPACT Ministry Training Center (IMTC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering professional growth through innovative and collaborative training methods. Located in northern New Jersey, just under an hour from New York City, IMTC actively cultivates a global community of leaders, having equipped over 7,000 individuals from all 50 states and more than 100 countries over the past three decades. By emphasizing collaboration and peer learning environments, IMTC empowers leaders and organizations to effectively meet diverse and evolving challenges, promoting shared success across cultural and geographic boundaries.
The IMTC was founded by David D. Ireland, Ph.D, the lead pastor of Christ Church, a 13,000-member Evangelistic, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multisite church in New Jersey. A former diversity consultant for the National Basketball Association, he's led chapel services for the NY Giants, Jets, and at the U.S. Pentagon. His ministry spans over 75 nations, training leaders worldwide, from Australia's outback to Kenya's Rift Valley, Harvard, Indonesia's mountains, and even behind the post-communist walls of Slovakia.
He is a well-respected columnist contributing to such media outlets like Fox News and Huffington Post. He has authored over 30 books, including Raising a Child Who Prays and The Kneeling Warrior. Dr. Ireland is working to launch The CARE Center, an integrative suite of services within a 123,000-square foot facility at his Rockaway, NJ Campus. This innovative endeavor includes a legal clinic, food pantry, clothing program, mental health services, and 20 other social justice services to empower the marginalized and under-resourced.
Rev. Ireland holds a graduate degree in engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, a master's in theology from Alliance Theological Seminary, a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Regent University and completed post-doctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he holds a postgraduate degree in social innovation from the University of Cambridge. Recently appointed to the Governor's Advisory Commission on Faith-Based Initiatives, he and his wife, Dr. Marlinda Ireland, have been married since 1984, with two adult daughters and a son-in-law.
